MTV K Top 10 Countdown: What Are Your Favorite K-pop Unit/Project Groups?
In last week’s Top 10 Countdown for Studio 5,
MTV K polled fans on the streets of Seoul’s Hongdae district for the
top 10 idols to see in concert. After an exciting weekend of voting, the
results proved that Super Junior‘s reputation precedes them. Beating out Big Bang
for the number 1 spot, Super Junior was voted by fans as THE top idol
group to see live in concert. Lucky for those of you in New York City,
there’s less than a week until that comes true, with the group slated to
perform at SM TOWN LIVE IN NYC
(along with SHINee, Girls’ Generation, TVXQ, and more) this coming
Sunday at Madison Square Garden! And Super Junior recently announced
their upcoming world tour for Super Show 4! Get excited, ELFs!
The final rankings for MTV K reader’s pick for TOP 10 Idols to See Live in Concert are:
1. Super Junior
2. Big Bang
3. SHINee
4. Rain
5. Girls’ Generation
6. JYJ
7. 2NE1
8. BEAST
9. TVXQ
10. 2PM
Thanks to all those who voted! We hope you had fun voting, and stay tuned for more exciting Top 10 countdowns… including this week’s TOP 10 K-POP UNIT GROUPS!
For the fourth episode of STUDIO 5, VJ Grace and returning guest Ellie Lee are reunited back in the studio to talk about this week’s spotlight artist, SISTAR. And this week, the lovely duo count down MTV K’s picks for TOP 10 Unit/Project Groups in K-pop.
With the number of units within and between idol groups increasing by the day, we thought it would be fitting to pick some of our favorites, from the SM project group S.M The Ballad, a collection of the label’s finest vocalists, to three of After School‘s unit groups. I, for one, am proud to announce that Super Junior‘s Kyuhyun made it on this list all of three times for his participation in various SM project groups.
Scroll through this week’s candidates below, and we’ll announce MTV K fans’ rankings on next week’s TOP 10 countdown! Here we go — to find out why we picked these groups, watch the fourth episode of Studio 5!
